City of Long Beach Measure A Infrastructure Funding

Roughly half of Measure A proceeds are allocated to public infrastructure projects throughout the City of Long Beach. Since 2017, when Measure A proceeds were first received, over $393 million of Measure A funding has been budgeted for public infrastructure projects, including improvements to City streets and alleys, curbs and sidewalks, fire stations, police stations, libraries, health and public safety facilities, park playgrounds, sports fields, community centers and more public infrastructure throughout the City.

To date, Measure A has supported the completion of:

  • 51 park playgrounds, community centers and park facility projects
  • over 572 lane miles of streets repairs
  • over 3,156 lane miles of streets slurry sealed
  • 20.5 miles of alleys rehabilitated, of which 5.9 miles were formerly dirt
  • over 1,899,908 square feet of sidewalk replacements
  • 3,605 curb ramp replacements
  • 29 Public Facility projects, including seven fire station projects, nine health and public safety projects and nine library projects.
