On February 9, 2016, a Los Angeles Superior Court denied a Petition for Writ of Mandate upholding the Long Beach Civil Service Commission’s decision, which upheld the City Manager’s decision to terminate Craig Chapman due to his egregious off-duty conduct involving assault with a deadly weapon.
