BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE

Jennifer Moon is a Deputy City Attorney who represents the City of Long Beach and city employees in a variety of civil actions, including public property liability, employee negligence, and civil rights.

Prior to joining the Long Beach City Attorney’s Office, Ms. Moon was in private practice defending municipalities against government tort claims, civil rights claims and employment actions.

PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS

Ms. Moon is a member of the State Bar of California, as well as the United States District Court for the Northern, Central, Eastern, and Southern Districts of California and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Ms. Moon received her J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law, Washington, D.C., and her B.A. in Literature from UC Santa Cruz.
