BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE
Thomas Oh is a Deputy City Attorney whose practice focuses on servicing the legal needs of the Long Beach Harbor Department and its Board of Harbor Commissioners. Mr. Oh primarily practices in the areas of real estate, public contracts, municipal law, and related transactional matters.
Prior to joining the Long Beach City Attorney’s Office, Mr. Oh was a Staff Attorney at the Orange County Health Authority (dba CalOptima) and a Deputy County Counsel at the County of Riverside. Mr. Oh also worked in private practice at Best Best & Krieger, focusing on real estate and telecommunications matters for municipalities and public agencies throughout California.

EDUCATION
Mr. Oh earned his undergraduate degree from Emory University and a master’s degree, with highest honors, in Philosophy of Religion and Ethics from Biola University. He went on to obtain a J.D. from the UCLA School of Law, where he was a member of the Frank G. Wells Environmental Law Clinic.
