Background and Experience 

Charles Gale is a Principal Deputy City Attorney who practices in the area of preferential assignment agreements, leases, licenses, real estate, contracts, municipal law, environmental including hazardous materials and the California Environmental Quality Act (“CEQA”), insurance, and transportation. Mr. Gale primarily services the legal needs of the Long Beach Harbor Department. 

Professional Affiliations 

Mr. Gale is admitted to practice in California (active) and before the Central, Southern, and Eastern United States District Courts in California, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is also a member of the Real Property Section of the State Bar of California. 

Education 

Mr. Gale received his J.D. from Stanford Law School in 1980 and his B.A. from Indiana University in 1977.
