General transactional, municipal, and real estate law. Mr. Jacobs primarily advises the Tidelands Bureau, Technology & Innovation, Energy Resources, Department of Economic and Property Development, the Long Beach Community Investment Company, and the Debt Advisory Committee.

BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE

Mr. Jacobs works with various City departments on a broad range of contractual matters, regulatory guidance, and advisement on the Public Records Act and Brown Act.

Prior to joining the Office of the City Attorney, Mr. Jacobs worked as an attorney in Los Angeles at Sheppard Mullin, Ramo Law PC, and Bober, Peterson, & Koby where he handled a wide variety of commercial, technology, financing, and real estate agreements, in addition to litigating workers compensation cases on behalf of professional sports teams.

Mr. Jacobs is a member of the State Bar of California.

EDUCATION

Mr. Jacobs graduated from the University of San Diego, School of Law, in 2020 and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Iowa in 2016.
