Public PCs and Public Wi-Fi Available through the Long Beach Public Library

All 12 Long Beach Public Libraries have free public Wi-Fi and public computers. All Libraries been upgraded to an ultrafast 1 gigabyte Broadband connection. The Technology and Innovation Department has worked to bring high-speed Broadband to all City Libraries. The Department connected these public spaces to CalREN which is a high-capacity 3,800-mile fiber optic network operated by CENIC, the Corporation for Education Network Initiatives in California. Libraries are essential to their communities. This service will allow the Long Beach Public Library to effectively provide communities with high performance access to resources that foster 21st Century digital citizenship and the benefits of a digitally empowered community.
