This contract has more money up front, the PERS pick up has been pushed back, there is a guaranteed pay raise with the median adjustment, and it gets to the median a year sooner. The September 09 pay raise will be a minimum of 2% or median adjustment by rank, whichever is higher. It is highly probable that Officers will receive more than the minimum 2%. The guaranteed pay raises result in the following increases:
