ARREST IN THE MURDER OF MELODY ROSS Long Beach Police Department Detectives have arrested the suspects believed to be responsible for the senseless murder of Melody Ross and the attempted murder of the 18-year-old and 20-year-old male victims. (+View News Release)
SUBJECT SUSPECTED OF IMPERSONATING A POLICE OFFICER Long Beach Police are currently investigating an individual they believe may have been impersonating a police officer, and are asking for the public's help. The suspect is described as a male White, 34-years-old, with brown hair, hazel eyes, and is 5'9" tall and weighs 215 lbs. He was driving a blue 2004 Dodge Ram 1500, similar to the one depicted in the photo. (+View News Release)
SHOOTING VICTIM DIES... POLICE SEEK PUBLIC'S HELP During an investigation, detectives learned that a red or maroon mini-van was possibly involved in the shooting. Detectives located video surveillance footage from a nearby business showing what appears to be a red, possibly Dodge mini-van. Detectives believe this vehicle may be involved in the death of Victim Benitez, and are asking anyone with information regarding the vehicle or the incident to contact Long Beach Police Homicide Detectives Russ Moss or Terri Hubert at (562) 570-7244.
