The Long Beach Police Communications Center is the answering point for all 9-1-1 calls, including an increasing number of cell phone calls. Each year, the Police Communications Center answers over 600,000 phone calls. As a member of the Communications Center, the Public Safety Dispatcher is an integral part of our law enforcement team. Public Safety Dispatchers bridge the gap between the community and our police officers and they help achieve the goals and objectives of the Police Department.
