| » About Your Officer Roy Bronold is the Inspection Services Officer for the Department of Development Services. In this role, Roy will manage the construction inspection activities for private and public projects, issuance of oil well permits, and enforcement related to new construction. Prior to coming to Long Beach, Roy was the Building Official for the Cities of National City and Rancho Palos Verdes. Roy holds an Associate of Science degree in Architecture and Construction Inspection Technology and certification as Building Official, Plans Examiner, Building, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Combination Inspector and Special Inspector certification in Structural Steel and Welding and Reinforced Concrete and Structural Masonry.
