| Summer Day Camps Our enthusiastic and dedicated staff want your child to experience the endless benefits of a great summer day camp. All camps except Pee Wee camps are for ages 5-12 and run M-F, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., June 16-August 22 unless otherwise notified. Last Chance camps are held the week of August 25-29 at El Dorado West and Silverado.
Extended hours are available from 7-9 am and 4-6 pm for $15/week (am or pm) or $2 per hour. Field trips are an additional cost. Register at individual camp site during operating hours.

AQUATICS DAY CAMPS
SUMMER AQUATICS CAMPS - NEW REGISTRATION PROCESS Registration materials for Summer Aquatics Camps are now available - 2008 Summer Aquatics Camps Form. Forms may also be obtained at the Aquatics Administration Office. Registration materials will be direct mailed to participants that attended camp last year. Registration fees are due at the time of registration.
Families wishing to register for multiple weeks are required to pay for the first two (2) weeks in full plus a $20 non-refundable deposit for each additional week reserved. Full payment for weeks on reserve is due the Wednesday before the reserved week begins.
Excursion fees vary and are not included in the registration fee. Excursion fees are paid weekly at Camp. Each participant will receive a camp t-shirt that is to be worn on excursion days.
All Aquatics Camp staff are lifeguards certified in First Aid and CPR. Staff to camper ratio at Belmont Junior Aquatics Camp is 1:8. Staff to camper ratio at Bayshore Marine Biology Camp and Bay Club Teen Camp is 1:10.
The Aquatics Camps Office is located at 4000 Olympic Plaza and will be open 9a.m. to 3p.m. Monday thru Friday beginning May 5th. For more information, call 570-1888.
Belmont Junior Aquatics Camp
Ages 5-8 (kindergarten experience). Join us on the beach side, covered patio area at Belmont Plaza Pool for summer fun. Campers enjoy games, crafts, beach play, songs, Red Cross swimming lessons, field trips (additional cost), canoeing & sailing once a week at Leeway Sailing Center. 11 one-week sessions, M-F, June 16-August 29, 9am-4pm. Fee is $140 per week. Extended day care, 7-9am & 4-6pm at additional cost of $20-$40 per week.
Bayshore Marine Biology Camp
Ages 9-12 (must have completed 3rd grade). Marine Biology enthusiasts will explore a variety of life to be discovered in the ocean! Hands-on learning will take place at the Bayshore program site (next to basketball courts). The camp includes sailing, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, crafts, field trips (additional cost) & features environmental activities. 11 one-week sessions, June 16-August 29, 9am-4pm. Fee is $140. Extended day care, 7-9am & 4-6pm at additional cost of $20-$40 per week.
Bay Club Teen Camp
Ages 13-17 (must have completed 7th grade). Learn the basics of exciting water sports such as windsurfing, sailing, canoeing and kayaking in addition to beach activities & field trips (additional cost). Come hang out with us & meet friends at Leeway Sailing Center! Fee is $100 per week. 10 one-week sessions, June 16-Aug 22, noon-5pm.
Counselor-In-Training
Teens (must have completed 8th grade). A unique opportunity to develop the skills to become a great camp counselor. Participants learn team building activities, child development & boating skills in addition to obtaining valuable Red Cross CPR certification. The 3-week fee is $420. M-F, August 4-22, 9am-4pm. |
