Volleyball


SCHEDULE:
Ten (10) games schedule plus playoffs.

CLASSIFICATIONS:
Long Beach Volleyball offers a number of levels of play for men's, women's and coed teams. The following is a breakdown of the leagues and the nights that they play:

Coded Divisions
  • Advanced- Monday
  • Intermediate Plus- Wednesday, Thursday 
  • Intermediate - Wednesday, Thursday
  • Novice - Wednesday, Thursday  

    Womens Divisons
  • Advanced - Tuesday
  • Intermediate Plus - Tuesday 
  • Intermediate - Tuesday
  • Novice - Tuesday 

    Mens Divisons 
  • Advanced Intermediate - Tuesday
  • Internmediate Plus - Tuesday
  • Intermediate - Tuesday

    *Matches are one night per week. A match consists of three games to 25 points each.

    		•  REGISTRATION:
    Walk-in and Mail-in registration will be accepted at the Long Beach Sports Office / Recreation Park, 5001 Deukmejian Dr., Long Beach CA 90804.

    LEAGUE FEES:
    TEAM ENTRY: $375 per team / Resident: $314 ALL LEAGUE FEES AND APPLICABLE DOCUMENTATION MUST BE SUBMITTED AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION. CASH, CREDIT CARD, MONEY ORDER, CASHIER'S CHECK OR BUSINESS CHECK ARE ACCEPTABLE FORMS OF PAYMENT. PERSONAL CHECKS, UP TO $500, WILL BE ACCEPTED. MAKE CHECKS PAYABLE TO THE CITY OF LONG BEACH. *Entries received prior to the appropriate period will be returned to the team.

    NO REFUNDS unless the program has been cancelled by the Sports Office.

    *RULE CHANGES:
    1. Rally scoring to 25, with a cap at 25, you do not have to win by two.
    2. Let serves will be allowed.
       

    Sinjin Smith Volleyball Camps
    Adult & Youth Classes and Clinics - Sinjin Smith, one of the greatest players in volleyball history, is passing on his winning ways. Come learn from coaches who have personally trained with Sinjin. Learn the fundamentals, strategies, philosophies and techniques that made Sinjin a volleyball legend. Sinjin classes and clinics are designed to provide players of all levels an opportunity to develop and hone their skills through high quality instruction and structured play. Plus, Sinjin will make special appearances to meet, coach and play with everyone. Classes will consist of an hour of drills and instruction and an hour of structured games and play.
