Homeland Neighborhood Cultural Center is a place for people to explore and pass on traditional and contemporary cultural traditions. Open to all ages, people and groups, programs are offered year-round in urban and traditional arts. Homeland is also the site for poetry readings, theatre presentations, performances of dance and music, and cultural celebrations.

Afrikan Cultural Center presents workshops for all ages in collaboration with the Afrikan Cultural Center of Long Beach.


HMONG TRADITIONAL GHEEJ AND DANCE WORKSHOP • Sun, 9:00am-3:00pm*

Traditions of the Hmong in collaboration with the Hmong Association of Long Beach.


CHAMORU ARTS OF GUAM • Sun, 2:00-6:00pm*

Traditional music and dance of Micronesia provided by Kitteran Chamoru of Guam.

All ages open practice for Krump dancers and Homeland’s Award Winning Krump Time Crew (formerly Millennium Krump Time).


SPRAY CAN ART/GRAFWRITERS MURAL CREW • Mon/Tue, 6:00-10:00pm.* Age 18 and older. Open mural program for graf writers and spray can artists.


MUSIC JAM • Sat, 4:00-6:00pm*

Inter-generational musical jam. Bring your own instruments or come with just your hands and voice.


Recreational Games & Homework Help • 3:00-5:00pm* For elementary school-aged children. Tutoring by high school community service volunteers is provided when available. (inquire at office)
