Atlantic Plaza is controlled partly by the County of Los Angeles and partly by the City of Long Beach. There are park benches and green open spaces maintained by Long Beach Parks, Recreation & Marine and there are tennis courts and a recreation center maintained by the County. Parks, Recreation & Marine uses the recreation facility as a focal point for the Summer Food Service Program.
