Drawing in Nature — Spectacular Spring Join us one Saturday a month to explore the Center. Learn basic colored pencils techniques while drawing from natural forms like leaves, berries, and branches.Bring lunch and wear walking shoes. Supply list provided on sign up. lOam- 3pm. Saturday, Apr 26. $25 per class Springtime at the Nature Center Wildflower season is upon us. Join a naturalist for a guided tour to visit the California native plants in their finery of flower and scent. Saturday, Apr 26. lOam-noon.$5. Community Dinners for a Healthy Planet The last Tuesday of the month is a vegetarian potluck and celebration of new friends and community. Bring your own place setting and food for 5. 6:30-9 pm. Out of the Wilds, and Into Your Garden Want to learn more about native and water wise gardening? Come to our free gardening class and talk with California native plant experts. First Saturday of each month. Call for program topic. May 3, June 7, July 5, Aug 2; 2 – 4pm. Adult Nightlife Walk Enjoy the sights and sounds of nature on a quiet reflective walk on the trails with a naturalist. May 20, June 17, July 1, 15, Aug. 5; 7 – 9pm ; $3 per person. Drawing in Nature We will walk and observe, journal and photograph out on the Nature Center trails and then turn our observations into colored pencil drawings. Learn the basics of using colored pencils, including blending, burnishing and impressed line while incorporating the techniques of botanical drawing. Call for supply list. May 24, June 27, July 28, Aug. 23; 10am – 3pm. Adults: $25 per person each session.
