Join the Youth Advisory Council
Get Involved in City Government
They will also be involved in community activities such as clean ups, outreach activities and attend monthly meetings.  This past year the Youth Council participated in the Bixby Knolls Dragster and Car Expo, the Paint Out on Atlantic, Diabetes Walk, a field trip to the Museum of Tolerance and a Harbor Cruise with the Port of Long Beach and the Councilwoman plus community leaders.  They were also represented at the Governor's Conference on Women and Families in October.

Meeting times are every 2nd Thursday at 4:30 p.m at the District Field Office, 3837 Atlantic Avenue.  If this sounds like something you would like to be involved in, please contact our Youth Advisory Council moderator, Veronica Servin, at 562-570-1326.

Our mission as Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is to develop leadership skills through outreach volunteer work in the community and by bringing forth issues to the Mayor and City Councilmembers in health and education matters affecting the youth and children of Long Beach.
