The “Be Aware, Be Safe, Be You” public awareness campaign was developed with input from community stakeholders a Hate Crimes Advisory Group assembled by Councilmember Suja Lowenthal. “ Be Aware, Be Safe, Be You” is intended to inspire awareness in every community, culture and ethnicity in Long Beach about issues of public health and safety such as hate crimes and sexually transmitted diseases.
