ART Orchestra is designed to give students an opportunity to get 'inside' classical music. Students will incorporate melody, rhythm and movement and put them together to create an original composition based on their interpretation of the 'Berceuse' from the Firebird Orchestral Suite written by Igor Stravinsky. This twelve-week course is for children ages 8 to 12, and is only $90 per participant. The course will take place Mondays from 3 to 4pm or 4 to 5pm at Whaley Park, with two available sessions: December 3 to January 21, or January 28 to March 4. There is a $25 material fee to be paid in class (cash only).

ArtBeat for Humanity Drum Painting  The first day of class will be an Artbeat Drum Circle and is free to interested students, to experience the class. ArtBeat for Humanity provides the opportunity for artists with disabilities a chance to utilize the drum as a canvas for creative expression. Drum heads will be transformed into circular art forms know as mandalas. Self-expression will be explored through bright colors, shape and symbols that represent the artist in you. This six-week course is for youth ages 13 to 17, and is $90 per participant with a $60 material fee to be paid in class (cash only). The course will take place Wednesdays from 3:30 to 4:30pm at Whaley Park, with two available sessions: December 5 to January 23, or January 30 to March 6.
