Enjoy a delicious meal and raise money for a good cause at the Long Beach Animal Care Services (ACS) fundraiser at the Veggie Grill on Wednesday, October 24 from 4-10 p.m. The Veggie Grill is located at 6451 Pacific Coast Highway in The Marketplace in Long Beach.
According to organizer Judy Crumpton, a member of the Pets Always Worth Saving citizen support group for Long Beach Animal Care Services, "My inspiration behind the fund-raiser is to try to obtain a cooling system for use on hot summer days to help raise the adoptability and comfort of our shelter animals at Long Beach ACS. I am very grateful to Veggie Grill for their generosity in supporting this goal."
Diners who present an event flier or mention Long Beach Animal Care Services on the evening of October 24 will have 50 percent of their food and beverage purchase donated to Long Beach ACS. The flier is available for download at www.lbparks.org and www.longbeach.gov/acs. The Veggie Grill “makes it fun to eat wholesome” and serves a menu of delicious soups, chilis, entree salads, sandwiches, burgers and deserts that are rich in protein and other nutrients; and free of cholesterol, animal fat and trans fat.
