8:00 am sharp!

Participants will get a behind-the-scenes look at how wetlands and oil operations co-exist at Los Cerritos Wetlands.  We may also be lucky enough to spot the state endangered Belding's Savannah Sparrow, and we will likely come across great blue herons.


WHEN: Saturday, October 6th, at 8:00 am sharp! Parking lot gate will open at 7:45 am and close at 8:10 am.  No late- comers can be admitted for the tour, and all participants must stay for the entire tour, which will end by 9:45 am.

WHERE (and WEAR): Meet in the driveway/parking area at the corner of 1st Street and PCH in Seal Beach.  There will be signs.  Close-toed shoes; and kids under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Cubberley School is inviting neighborhood artisans, businesses, non-profits and service providers to host a booth at its "Blast from the Past" Fall Carnival on Friday, October 19, 2012 from 2:30pm - 5:30pm


Cubberley is also seeking tax-deductible cash and equipment donations


Proceeds from the carnival benefit Cubberley's classrooms, enrichment programs and sports groups
