Leased Space in New Courthouse Provides Important Synergies and Good Eats

The new Governor George Deukmejian Courthouse will be home to more than just the Superior Court. On April 17th, the LA County Board of Supervisors approved a 35-year sub-lease with Long Beach Judicial Partners for four LA County justice agencies. By leasing space, these LA County agencies will benefit from the synergies and efficiencies of operating in the same building as the Court with which they work closely.

In addition to the LA County lease, Long Beach Judicial Partners will collect rent from a glass-enclosed food court area which is currently being marketed for lease, which will be located adjacent to the Great Hall entry. The new food court will include three independent quick service restaurant operators. With a projected 800 employees and 4,000 visitors per day, the market proposition is compelling for retailers that have great products to offer.
