El Dorado Regional Park Tour & Lake Clean Up

Join Councilwoman Schipske and the Fifth District Lakes, Ponds and Wetlands Taskforce as they take a tour of the improvements to natural habitat  of the lake in Area 3.  The Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine and community volunteers have made major improvements to this  area to restore and support a thriving natural environment around the lake.  Some of the  work includes:the removal of concrete to make room for natural wildlife,creation of Fish Dens, diverting of waste,planting of trees and shrubs, mulching to conserve water.

 

 Following the tour there will be a lake clean up. Shovels, gloves and small hand tools will be provided.

 

Parking: Enter from Spring Street into the Park and drive to South End of Area 3. Inform the parking attending you are attending the LAKE TOUR & CLEAN UP. Parking spaces provided at the Bridge Crossing.
