'CERT Quickstart' - Emergency Preparedness Course

This three hour course will help introduce community members to Emergency Preparedness in a free, informative and fun forum. The Leadership Long Beach team completed the twenty hour CERT course, and worked with the Long Beach Fire department to develop a quicker overview to help educate residents how to get ready right now.

The presentation will provide valuable information on how to get your home ready for a major disaster and important tips about first aid, search and rescue and communication plans to help increase your chances of survival after a major disaster.

Beginning on May 9, 2012, Long Beach Water Department construction crews will be installing a new water main on the following streets:

Pageantry Street between Los Coyotes Diagonal and Palo Verde Avenue
Shadypark Drive between East Spring Street and Pageantry Street
Gondar Avenue from East Spring Street to the end of the Street
McNab Avenue between East Spring Street and Shadypark Drive
Snowden Avenue between East Spring Street and Pageantry Street
