Nominate Our Library Workers
UPDATE: Corrected link to nominate our library workers

Dear Reader,

You may nominate library workers by going online to the National Library Workers Day website:

Apologies that the prior link was incorrect.

On Tuesday night, Councilwoman Gerrie Schipske called on Council to proclaim Tuesday, April 10, 2012 as "National Library Workers Day." National Library Workers Day is a time to honor the contributions of all library workers, including librarians, support staff, and others who make library services possible.

Councilwoman Schipske is encouraging residents to participate in acknowledging the city's librarians and staff by nominating "star" library employees for public recognition on the National Library Workers Day website.

Anyone may nominate a 'Star' library worker or team for creativity, enthusiasm, customer service, or even for that special something they add to a library. Stars can be nominated by going online to the National Library Workers Day website: New nominations will be showcased in the Galaxy of Stars on the NLWD website each week.

Residents can hand out physical stars at Ruth Bach and El Dorado Libraries. Stars will be available at the National Library Workers Day display inside of the libraries.
