Christmas Tree Recycling Made Convenient for Residents
The City of Long Beach encourages residents to take advantage of the City's tradition of free "tree-cycling" services during the holidays.
Two types of "tree-cycling" services will be offered. Second District residents can choose to drop off trees at Bixby Park or Cesar Chavez Park beginning Monday, December 26 and extending through Friday, January 6.
Trees left at these locations must have all decorations and stands removed prior to drop off. Residents may also choose to have their tree picked up curbside. This service will be provided on Saturday, January 7 for residents who have City of Long Beach refuse service. To have trees picked up curbside and recycled, trees must be placed at the curb by 7:00 AM, and all decorations and stands must be removed. Trees over 12 feet tall should be cut in half. Flocked trees will be accepted.
