Improvements To Linden Historic District; Long Beach Named #1 Most Walkable City in Southern California

This Saturday, at 10am, we will be celebrating numerous improvements to the Linden Historic District. The District, one of Long Beach's many historical neighborhoods is located on Linden between Anaheim and 14th Street. Thanks to the hard work of the Linden neighbors, the Redevelopment Agency, and Neighborhood Services, we have made numerous community improvements. They include:

- New Historic District Signs
- New Landscaping Planters
- New Trashcans with the Linden Historic Name
- New Fencing for Local Businesses

So bring your neighbors, and join us this Saturday for food and fun.

11th Most Walkable City in US; #1 in California!

Also, in case you missed it, the Los Angeles Times and walkscore.com has named Long Beach the 11th most walkable city in America, and the most walkable city in Southern California. The data used for the scores plots streets, businesses and schools, and uses that information to determine how easy it is to walk to and from these locations.

Go Long Beach!
