Begin this spring by investing in yourself with new classes and opportunities from Long Beach Parks, Recreation and Marine. These two brand new courses, Lean Fit Body Camp and Pet Manners Fine Tuned will keep both you and your favorite pup in shape, whether itís your biceps or their bark! Both of these classes begin next week, so be sure to plan your registration accordingly.
Lean Body Fit Camp is a 45-minute express workout. This never-boring indoor boot camp will give you results quicker than the gym. Itís combo of fat burning cardio and muscle toning resistance training all in one! This course is proven to burn seven times more fat than traditional cardio. Workouts are results-driven, fun, and upbeat; we never do the same workout twice. Bring a towel and water. Results are guaranteed! Certified personal trainer Cooper will instruct the class. This course will take place at 3821 Long Beach Blvd, Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 6:45am or 9 to 9:45am, March 1 to March 31.
Pet Manners Fine Tuned will help your pet with advanced manners using positive reinforcement for leash walking, come, stay, while incorporating the ď3DísĒ of difficulty: distance, duration and distractions. Pet Manners 1 is a prerequisite. First class will take place with your dog, and handlers must be 10 years or older. The course is $59 and four weeks long, with a $5 materials fee. It will take place every Tuesday from 7 to 8pm, March 1 to March 22, on the Los Cerritos Tennis Courts, instructed by Kelli Knowles-Smith, CPDT-KA, DogPACT.
