Learn How Code Enforcement Improves Neighborhoods on Feb. 9

Long Beach residents are invited to learn how Code Enforcement helps maintain and improve the quality of life in neighborhoods, commercial corridors and industrial areas, during a free workshop on Wednesday, February 9, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at the Neighborhood Resource Center, 425 Atlantic Ave.

Geoff Weatherilt, Principal Building Inspector with the City of Long Beach Code Enforcement Division, will explain how the program is effective with substandard buildings, property maintenance, inoperative vehicles, weed abatement and land use violations. Other topic of discussion include:

  •  Common Code Violations Private Property
  •  How to File Complaints of Violations
  •  Code Enforcement Fines
  •  Code Enforcement Tools to Help Your Neighborhood

 Attendees are invited to bring canned food to donate to Food Finders to assist our Long Beach neighbors during the current economic crisis.
