Service Learning and Volunteer Opportunities at El Dorado Nature Center

Long Beach Parks, Recreation and Marine’s El Dorado Nature Center is offering two opportunities for community service in the upcoming month.

Volunteer Meeting will take place Saturday, February 5, from 9 to 9:30am. If you’re looking for service hours or simply feel like giving back, come to this orientation meeting to learn about what you can do to help. We look forward to seeing you.

First Saturday Stewards is a service learning opportunity that helps with the Nature Center’s various projects along the trails on the first Saturday of each month. Reservations are required for this program, and there is a maximum enrollment of 40 individuals per month. Please call (562) 570-1746 to reserve your spot. Be sure to bring water, sunscreen, garden gloves, and sturdy shoes. This month’s Stewards program will take place Saturday, February 5, from 10am to noon.
