In an effort to combat the growing housing foreclosure crisis, the City of Long Beach sought and obtained federal funding from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Neighborhood Stabilization Program. Through NSP the City will acquire, rehabilitate, and resell abandoned and foreclosed residential properties in NSP eligible areas.
The City of Long Beach (City) invites private certified home inspectors to submit qualifications and fee proposals to perform inspections of residential rehabilitation projects for the City’s Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) properties. Home inspection services will be requested on an as needed basis for the properties acquired. The City anticipates completing eighty-six housing units within three years through the Neighborhood Stabilization Program, however there is no guarantee of the total amount of work to be performed, if selected.
