On Saturday, June 26, at 11:00 a.m., Orizaba Park will come alive with the sounds of skateboarders and fun at the second "Hood" Games. This popular block party and skate jam is sponsored by Long Beach Parks, Recreation and Marine, in partnership with the West East-Side Community Association, Fourth District Councilmember Patrick O'Donnell, the Long Beach Neighborhood Services Bureau, the East Anaheim Street Business Alliance and the Long Beach Police Department. Orizaba Park is located at the junction of Orizaba Avenue and Spalding Street.
This free event has something for everyone - besides skateboarding, there will be special guests and pro skaters, music, arts & crafts and refreshments. Festivities are scheduled from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.
