Long Beach Boulevard Construction Notice

The City's Contractor, Sully Miller, is scheduled to begin construction on June 7, 2010, and the project is scheduled for completion, barring weather or other unforeseen delays, by the end of August 2010.

The project will involve:

  • Repairs to each of the intersections between Ocean Blvd and 10th Street
  • Installation of ADA compliant ramps
  • Street repairs
  • Asphalt overlay
  • Replacement of damaged sidewalks
  • Repairs to damaged curbs and gutters
  • Installation of new concrete bus pads
  • Additional work as needed

The Contractor is scheduled to do some of the asphalt removals and paving work at night. Further notifications will be forthcoming with specific information regarding the proposed night work. It is advised that alternative routes be utilized during the planned night work activities.

The City's intention is to maintain as much of the existing parking as possible. Parking will only be restricted in those areas where temporary "No Parking" signs are posted.
