Golf Course Renovation
Ceremony Set to Celebrate Recreation Park 9-Hole
According to Bob Livingstone, Superintendent of Golf and Contract Operations for the Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine, the $400,000 project was funded from a percentage of green fees allocated for golf course improvements. The clubhouse was painted and received new tables, chairs, audio-visual equipment and new patio furniture.

All holes north of 6th Street received new cart paths and bunkers. The putting greens on the first and second holes were enlarged and more than 150 new trees were planted.

When work is completed on the renovation of the Colorado Lagoon to restore its water quality and habitat, the golf holes bordering the lagoon south of 6th Street will also be renovated, further enhancing the appeal and use of "Little Rec."
