Bryan Rogers was presented the outstanding Youth service Provider Award by Centro CHA at the 13th Annual Nuestra Imagen Awards Ceremony.  The award presentation began with a video of photos from our various youth programs.

Then First District Councilmember Robert Garcia introduced Bryan, citing our SYETP success of placing 1200 youth with 250 employees resulting in $1.7 million in the area economy and that for many youth, this was their first job, first paycheck and first entry on their resumes.

In accepting the award, Bryan noted how important youth internships, mentoring and first jobs are-especially with nearly 40% of the Long Beach population being age 25 or under.

Centro CHA to give ‘Nuestra Imagen’ awards
LONG BEACH – A prominent advocacy group will honor 10 individuals and organizations Thursday for their contributions to Long Beach. 

The Centro Community Hispanic Association, or Centro CHA will have its 13th annual “Nuestra Imagen” (Our Image) awards ceremony from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Grand, 4101 E. Willow st.
