Long Beach Veterans Day Parade
The thirteenth annual Long Beach Veterans Day Parade, A Salute to Those Who Served is Saturday, November 7, 2009.

Parade highlights include marching bands and drill teams, equestrian units and military vehicles. 

You are invited to participate in the parade by joining the Freedom Walk as the last entry passes and heads to Houghton Park.

Post parade activities at Houghton Park (corner of Atlantic Avenue and Harding Street, just south of Artesia Blvd) will feature a ceremony honoring all veterans.  Fun activities for the whole family and a craft and vendor's fair are part of the attraction following the only Veterans Day Parade in the local area. 

Parade Route:

  • South on Atlantic Avenue from Harding Street to 56th Street, looping back north on Atlantic Avenue and ending at Houghton Park on the corner of Harding and Atlantic.

Carsten Sorensen - Long Beach Firefighter/Iraq VeteranChristopher Martin - Long Beach Police Officer/Veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan
Dr. Lydia Hollie - Freedom Walk Honoree
