Planning staff of the Long Beach Development Services Department is conducting a community meeting at Houghton Park, starting at 7 p.m. Monday, February 2, for the North Long Beach area.
The meeting will include a presentation on the LB2030 General Plan Update project, and breakout sessions to discuss where changes in future land use designation and mobility improvements will be considered in North Long Beach. Land use designations guide future development and influence zoning decisions. Mobility decisions influence how traffic, including bicycles and pedestrians, move through the community. This is a working meeting to discuss the future of your area.
This meeting is part of a series of meetings being held throughout Long Beach in January and February. After this round of meetings, we'll be returning to the community with specific draft recommendations for public review and input before finalizing the citywide plan. Your input is important.
