Cambodia Town Mural Dedication

The Long Beach Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine and the Long Beach Department of Community Development, Neighborhood Services Bureau invite the community to come celebrate the dedication of the new "Welcome to Cambodia Town" mural. The dedication will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at 1350 East Anaheim Street at Mahanna.
The 53’ x 17’ mural was designed and produced by Long Beach artist Guillermo Avalos. Please join in recognizing the talented work of Mr. Avalos and the community members of all ages who volunteered to work with him to design and paint this outstanding community mural.
Mr. Avalos is a graduate of Wilson High School and has created five outstanding murals for Parks, Recreation and Marine Community Recreation Services and Community Development Neighborhood Services Bureau. His mural projects include: "Paseo de las Mariposas" at 1892 Fashion Avenue and "Bixby Park History Mural" at 130 Cherry Avenue.
