Wake Up Long Beach on August 14th, 7:30 a.m.
The expected impact of the City of Long Beach's proposed budget will highlight the August program of Wake Up Long Beach. The breakfast meeting takes place August 14th at the El Dorado Golf Course Restaurant, 2400 Studebaker Road, 7:30 a.m.
Councilwoman Gerrie Schipske will talk about her perspective on how the budget will impact the residents of the 5th Council District.
She will be joined in a round-table discussion on the City's fiscal situation by Bill Pearl, the publisher of the widely-read newsblog:, Dave Wielenga, writer for The District Weekly, and Harry Saltzgaver, editor of the Grunion Gazette.
