Fire Station 12 in North Long Beach is located within a residential neighborhood in a small, out-dated structure that is 72 years old! One of the redevelopment needs expressed in the early planning sessions of the North Long Beach Redevelopment plan was to replace the structure and move the station to a more appropriate location.
The Redevelopment Agency is holding a Community Meeting to introduce architectural plans for the new station, to be built on the corner of Orange Avenue and Artesia Boulevard, a property recently purchased by the agency.
A question and answer session will follow the special presentation by Architect for the project, Mary McGrath.
