Public Invited to Drake/Chavez Design Meeting
Event date:  June 14, 1-3 p.m.
Vice Mayor Bonnie Lowenthal and the Long Beach Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine invite the community to the second Drake/Chavez Greenbelt Design Community Meeting, on Saturday, June 14, from 1-3 p.m. at the Drake Park Community Center, located at 951 Maine Avenue. The City is creating a new park to link Drake Park to Chavez Park along the lower Los Angeles River, including a redesigned Drake Park. Many design elements were suggest by community members at the first public meeting held on March 8, and the public is invited to come see how those comments were woven into a design for the new greenbelt and Drake Park. English to Spanish translation and refreshments will be provided.
