E-Waste Collection Event on June 28
Please get rid of old tires and electronic waste in an environmentally safe manner. Take your old tires and televisions, computers, monitors, printers, VCRs, cell phones, DVD players, and microwave ovens to the Tire Amnesty Day / E-Waste Collection on June 28 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Environmental Services Bureau, 2929 E. Willow St.

Help keep our alleys and streets clean by recycling used tires, which can be made into rubberized asphalt, drain pipes, rubber hoses, rubber mats and playground mats.

It is illegal to put e-waste in the trash. Computers, televisions, printers and other electronics may contain lead, copper and other heavy metals or toxic substances that are harmful to our environment.

There’s a limit of five tires per car, and no rims, businesses waste or hazardous waste will be accepted. For more information, visit or call 570.4694.
