Event Date: May 10
Long Beach Parks, Recreation and Marine invites the public to join in honoring Blair Field with a celebration for its 50th Anniversary. A baseball game between the Cal State Long Beach 49er Dirt Bags and the Cal State Santa Barbara Gauchos begins at 6 p.m. and will be followed by a fireworks display, a first for Long Beach Dirtbag fans. So bring your family and friends and join the fun. Tickets may be purchased at the CSULB box office (562) 985-4949 or for more information call (562) 570-1725.

Located in Recreation Park, at 4900 East 7th Street, the field originally opened in 1958 and was updated in 1992 and 1999 to a 3,238-seat facility including 744 box seats. The playing field has a state-of-the-art drainage system and turf that exceeds professional baseball standards. The field has been the host for many film, TV and commercial productions and was used as a practice field by the Chicago Cubs, the LA Rams and several Olympic teams. It is home to the Long Beach Dirtbags and the Golden Baseball League.
