2nd Annual Library Round-Up to Help 5th District Libraries
Councilwoman Gerrie Schipske cordially invites everyone to participate in the 2nd Annual Library Round-Up to help raise money for Ruth Bach and El Dorado Public Library, two 5th District libraries, throughout the month of April in honor of National Library Month.

The goal of the Round-Up is to encourage residents, schools, PTAs, businesses and organizations to "round up" spare change and donate it to help libraries purchase materials.

"Libraries provide such a vital service to our community, and I believe this is a great opportunity to involve our residents, students and businesses," said Schipske.

The Office of Councilwoman Schipske will provide coin boxes to local businesses and schools to collect spare change during the month of April.  At the end of the Round-Up, coin boxes will be collected and counted.  All monetary donations will be presented, in a form of a check, to Friends of the Library to distribute to both libraries equally.
