Volunteer for the Long Beach Police Department!
The Long Beach Police Volunteer Program includes 15 programs: Chiefís Advisory Groups, the Blue Steel Band, Event Volunteers, Civilian Support, Drags Against Drugs, Explorers, Interns, Mounted Police, Reserves, Search and Rescue, Senior Police Partners, SWAT Volunteers, K-9 Association, Police Athletic League, and Explorer Advisors

"The Police Department takes pride in all of our volunteers who work diligently to provide services to the community that might otherwise not be possible," Police Chief Anthony Batts stated.  One of the many benefits enjoyed by the volunteers is knowing that their time enriches the lives of Long Beach residents.  Becoming involved in the departmentís Neighborhood Watch program or Community Academy are other opportunities for citizens to assist the community and improve their neighborhoods.

The Long Beach Police Department is seeking volunteers who wish to make a difference.
