Are you a Long Beach youth looking for a job?
Employment and training opportunities for youth, ages 14-24, will be available at the Third Annual Summer Opportunities Youth Fair, on May 30, 2:00 to 6:00 pm, at the Long Beach Convention Center, 300 E. Ocean Blvd.
Approximately 100 employers and organizations will be available to discuss summer jobs, year-round employment opportunities, internships, job training programs, volunteer\service learning opportunities and a number of other programs and services available to youth.
Youth can prepare by learning job fair etiquette, interviewing techniques, and how to draft a resume at work-readiness workshops available during April and May at the Youth Opportunity Center.
The City is also seeking business owners and youth-related service organizations that would like to participate in the youth fair.
