RESERVE SERGEANT HONORED AS AN OUTSTANDING YOUNG CALIFORNIAN
The California Junior Chamber, (The Jaycees) has named Long Beach Police Department Reserve Sergeant David Madigan an "Outstanding Young Californian". This annual Jaycee program recognizes young individuals in California between the ages of 21-40 who are not only outstanding in their chosen profession but have made a significant impact on the world around them.
Sergeant Madigan has served with distinction as a volunteer Reserve Police Officer since January 1991. He volunteers over 1200 hours a year for the police department, while working a full time job at Boeing in Huntington Beach. David has served in the role of Detail Administrative Sergeant since 2000. He has supervised 11 Reserve Police Academies and has focused his expertise on training and education.
Sergeant Madigan will be one of thirteen Californians honored at an annual dinner banquet Saturday, April 22, 2006. This event will take place at 7 p.m. at the Irvine Marriott Hotel, 18000 Von Karman, Irvine. The Long Beach Police Department congratulates Sergeant Manigan for this outstanding accomplishment.
