For Adults

Nature Journaling
Indulge your love of nature, just like John Muir.  We'll cover basic drawing composition and journaling techniques.  Colored pencils will be provided and you'll leave with your own nature journal.
Saturday, March 12 9:30-noon
$10 per person
Ages 16 and up.  Ages 12-15 may participate with an adult.

Project Learning Tree Workshop: Environmental Experiences for Early Childhood
Please join us along with other early childhood educators and parents in an introductory workshop for this new curriculum.  Learn how to help children ages 3-6 explore the outdoors with developmentally appropriate activities that:

- develop a sense of wonder
- promote problem-solving skills
- span all learning styles
- engender respect for the environment
- integrate nature-based exploration, art, literature, math, music and movement

All attendees will receive a copy of the new activity guide and a music CD

Want to learn more about native and water-wise gardening?  Come to our monthly free classes focused on California native plants for western gardens. Saturdays 2-4pm

Join us for a campfire to celebrate equal hours of day and night and the start of Spring!

Join us for an evening of family fun around the campfire!  Learn more about nocturnal wildlife through games, stories and songs.  Bring a picnic dinner to enjoy... and we'll provide the marshmallows to roast!

Audubon Bird Festival

Annual Butterfly Count
Help gather important data about which species are making the Nature Center home.  Beginners are welcome.  Bring water, sun protection and a sack lunch. $3 per person fee goes to North American Butterfly Association. Pre-registration required.
