 Habitat Stewards Training
Do you love gardening? Want to learn more about drought tolerant California native plants, while helping the Nature Center? Then we’re looking for you! Join our Habitat Stewards team and learn the basics for planting and maintaining native plants. Weekly and monthly work parties and meetings will provide you on going opportunities to sharpen your skills and meet new friends. Call (562) 570-1750 for application.
Saturday, November 7 & 14  9am-12pm  $40 materials fee.

 

Out of the Wilds, and Into Your Garden
Want to learn more about native and water wise gardening?  Come to our free gardening class and talk with California native plant experts.  First Saturday of each month.  Call for program topic.
November 7, December 5, Jan 2, Feb 6;  2-4pm.


Drawing in Nature

We will walk and observe, journal and photograph out on the Nature Center trails and then turn our observations into colored pencil drawings. Learn the basics of using colored pencils.

Saturday,  November 21, January 16, February 20   10am – 3pm. 
Adults: $25 per person each session.

Sharing Nature in the City- Volunteer Training
Share the wonders of the Nature Center by becoming a SNIC volunteer.
After 2 training classes you’ll be ready to help visitors explore the wildlife that lives here.

Training is Saturday, January 23rd & 30th from 9 am - 12:30 pm

Valentine’s Night Walk – Adults Only
Bring your sweetie for an evening of fun exploring the darkened trails of the Nature Center.
Friday, February 12   7 –9pm  $ 5 per person.
