Don't Have Health Insurance? Get Covered TOMORROWRelease Date: 2016-01-29
If you don’t have health insurance, please come down to the Long Beach Department of Health tomorrow and sign up. We will assist anyone who needs help signing up or anyone who may have questions about coverage.
President Obama has challenged Long Beach and 19 other cities to enroll as many people as possible in health care coverage by this Sunday night's deadline. The President plans to visit the city with the most sign-ups.
Our Health Department is holding special Saturday hours to get people enrolled. If you or your family need health insurance, we can sign you up tomorrow at 2525 Grand Avenue, from 8:00 am – 1:00 pm. You can call (562) 570-7979 for more information. Or you can visit longbeach.gov/health.
I’ll be there at 8:30 am to greet anyone coming in.
I want to thank our Health and Human Services Department and our outstanding community partners, including Molina Healthcare, the Children's Clinic and Dignity Health for their hard work in support of the President’s “Healthy Communities Challenge.” We want every American to have access to health care, and we are making great progress on this goal.
See you tomorrow!
